The Neighbourhood Centre is located in former industrial buildings from 1880. Today the scheme houses a local library and a café as well as office facilities on the upper floors. The structural changes to the existing building consists primarily of the partial removal of the existing floor decks in order to create a new, triple-high foyer space running the length of the building.
The Minister’s Treehouse in Crossville, Tennessee is a 100ft structure built by minister Horace Burgess from the early 1990s through 2004. The entire building wraps around a giant tree and was built completely without blueprints, sprawling to an estimated 10,000 square feet inside, including a four-story swing set.

Not far off the Pacific coast in the Costa Rican jungle, a community has taken to the trees to craft a new, sustainable life off the grid and away from urbanity. Finca Bellavista is a community of long-term residents and travel guests housed in a network of tree houses built right into the rain forest canopy. Perched above the forest floor, these tree houses are connected by zip lines and sky bridges, accessible by stairs and ladders from the ground level.
Greenery installation branch Wow! Grass! of UK turf company Lindum has covered the entirety of the nave belonging to york minster with a layer of real grass. The 16,000 square foot grass artwork had been developed for the York Minster rose dinner to benefit the cathedral’s monetary collection organization, the York Minster Fund, for the continued upkeep of the 1,000 year old structure.

Just in time for the summer, section 2 of The High Line has officially opened to the public in New York City. Designed by New York-based practices James Corner Field Operations and Diller Scofidio + Renfro,the one mile long urban park is recycled from the former elevated freight railroad spur and runs from gansevvort street in the meatpacking district to west 34th street, between 10th and 11th avenues.
French artist,Serge Salat’s latest installation labeled ‘Beyond Infinity’ is a multi-sensory structure that interweaves mirrors, lights and music. An architecture that alters the visitor’s perceptions of space and reality. As the viewers continue to progress, their experience inside is designed as a mystical journey creating an immersive world of a different nature.
